LLangollen

We will pass through Llangollen, the starting station for the famous and still fully-functional steam railway along with many other "claim to fames".

You get a unique chance to experience the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, built by Sir Thomas Telford in 1795 and still taking canal barges across the valley high above the ground.

We'll exploit the vehicle size by navigating some of the most scenic of "Welsh" roads available, taking in as much of those glorious views on offer.

Ffestiniog

Swallow Falls

Explore Betws-Y-Coed, North Wales' most popular inland resort where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno.

Weather permitting, we may navigate Ffestiniog, a paradise for walkers, hikers, mountain bikers, ramblers and climbers alike.

Then comes that historic World famous spectacular drive along the coast road and up the Great Orme at Llandudno, a famous Welsh holiday resort attracting many English and International visitors to it's unique charm and charisma.

Llandudno Pier

You will see and experience many of the glorious wonders that North Wales is proud to offer, including Eryri, or better known as the Snowdonia National Park, which is the second largest National park in England and Wales.

Weather permitting, we'll jump onboard the famous Snowdon Mountain Steam Railway that will trek us up to the summit at 1,085m / 3,560ft in one hour. For those more energetic, why not walk back down? It takes around 2 hours and offers scenery that will burn itself into your memory forever.

Don't forget Port Meirion! Clough Williams-Ellis built this fantasy village between 1925 to 1975 on his own private coastal peninsula. His lifelong concern was with Architecture, Landscape Design, the protection of Rural Wales and Conservation generally, and he strove at Portmeirion to give his ideas physical expression. All the cottages in the village are let as part of the Portmeirion Hotel and the village also has several shops and restaurants and is surrounded by the Gwyllt sub-tropical gardens and woodlands and miles of sandy beaches.

Conwy Castle

Of course, no trip to Wales would be complete without a visit to a castle, or two! We've plenty to choose from, including Conwy Castle, a gritty, dark-stoned fortress which has the rare ability to evoke an authentic medieval atmosphere. The first time that you catch sight of the castle you'll know you are in the presence of a historic site which still casts a powerful spell.

Then there's Caernarfon, Harlech, Beaumaris, Penrhyn, oh the list is endless!

Your accommodation for your high-quality mini-break has been carefully selected for its warm, Welsh hospitality, excellent cuisine and general overall ambience. We will, naturally, confirm your hotel details along with any special requests (dietary needs, smoking, double or twin, etc.) on your personal itinerary that will be prepared upon enquiry / booking.

We will usually stay at one hotel for the full 3-night duration using one of our accommodation partners guaranteeing high-quality, rated accommodations such as:

The Celtic Royal is a stylish hotel based right in the middle of Caernarfon yet offering guests complete peace, quiet and tranquility. It has 110 bedrooms to suit all tastes along with fine dining, a chic "art deco" bar and a superb leisure facility of which all BusyBus quests are welcome to use as part of their stay.

The hotel itself is an 1841 listed building elegantly restored in a blend of Georgian and contemporary architecture ensuring a wonderful ambience, a great stay and a memorable overall experience.

It's a privilege to have such a great, central base in such a great, central hotel. Although we won't be spending too much time here, the time we do spend will be quality - guaranteed!

Bryn Eisteddfod Country Hotel is situated 9 miles south of Caernarfon in an area designated as being of "outstanding natural beauty". No visitor will be disappointed with the breathtaking sea and mountain views.

The hotel stands in its own landscaped grounds and affords panoramic views, to the south Yr Eifl mountain range (The Rivals) and to the north Ynys Mon (The Isle of Anglesey).
