North Wales Adventure

The North Wales Adventure will take you to places in Wales you thought didn’t (or couldn’t) exist and your driver & tour escort will keep you fully informed and advised as to points of interest and general knowledge regarding the ever-changing panoramic views.

This Wales sightseeing tour has been carefully routed and planned with your driver carefully tailoring the day to suit the weather, atmosphere and ambiance of the general group on board.

This makes every tour unique, special and memorable and allows you to partake in as much (or little) as you feel comfortable with. You will never be put under any commitment or pressure to do anything that you don’t wish to.

Bus tours commence at 9:30am every Saturday from Chester and every Wednesday and Sunday from Liverpool (other days subject to a minimum of 8 passengers) with further collection points from convenient locations, including Tourist Offices, Hotels, Caravan Parks, etc. arranged by request. You will, of course, be dropped off at the same point by around 6pm after your wonderful day.

I wish to thank you for the wonderful time we spent on the North Wales Tour. I wish to compliment you on the very informative and yet in a relaxed way the Tour was conducted. Beyond our expectations! I can assure you that the memories of that day will linger on in our memories.

Stefan & Anna from Malta

We’ll commence our hour or so journey to our first stop in North Wales navigating the famous and spectacular coastal road arriving at Llandudno and ascent the steep Great Orme and marvel at the views (on a clear day we’ll even see the Isle Of Man!). We’ll visit the 1,100 year old hidden chapel of St. Tudno. with it’s Blue Window and Stigmata. Llandudno is a famous Welsh holiday resort established in the Victorian era and  attracting many English and International visitors to it’s unique charm and charisma. A stroll down the original wooden pier out to sea is a must and this is the place to buy those Welsh souvenirs!

The town of Conwy, constructed by the English monarch Edward I between 1283 and 1289 as one of the key fortresses in his ‘iron ring’ of castles to contain the Welsh, was built to prompt such a humbling reaction with its fabulous wall circuit of over 3/4 mile long and guarded by no less than 22 towers.

It is renowned one of the finest in the World. Conwy Castle is a gritty, dark-stoned fortress which has the rare ability to evoke an authentic medieval atmosphere. The first time that you catch sight of the castle you’ll know you are in the presence of a historic site which still casts a powerful spell.

You will see many of the glorious wonders that North Wales is proud to offer, including Eryri, or better known as the Snowdonia National Park, which is the second largest National park in England and Wales. We’ll exploit the vehicle size by navigating some of the most scenic and “Welsh” roads available, taking in as much of those glorious views on offer.ExploreBetws-Y-Coed, North Wales’ most popular inland resort where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno.

We will pass through Llangollen, the starting station for the famous and still fully-functional steam railway along with many other “claim to fames”.

You get a unique chance to experience the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, built by Sir Thomas Telford in 1795 and still taking canal barges across the valley high above the ground.

Finally, don’t forget all those other highlights you might see on route, including the Ugly House, Ffestiniog, Ruthin Gaol (jail), Valle Crucis Abbey, Rug Chapel, Llangar Church, Trefriw Woollen Mill, the Riverside Chocolate House …to name oh but a few.
