The North Wales Adventure tour is our flagship product. The first commercial tour was done on 1st March 2003 and since then it has won many accolades and awards. We have entertained thousands of happy clients including a handful of celebrities, dignitaries and VIP’s. We’ve been featured on just about every TV Channel in the UK and quite a few International ones we don’t even know about!
We’ll commence our narrated one-hour journey to our first stop in North Wales, navigating the famous and spectacular A55 coastal road, arriving in Llandudno, home to a magnificent Victorian holiday retreat. You’ll see the Great Orme and marvel at the views where, on a clear day, you can see the Isle Of Man! We’ll visit the 1,100 year old hidden chapel of St. Tudno with it’s Blue Window and Stigmata. Then it’s a stroll down the original wooden Pier out to sea which is a must and this is the place to buy those Welsh souvenirs!
Then it on to the town of Conwy, constructed by the English monarch Edward I between 1283 and 1289 as one of the key fortresses in his ‘iron ring’ of castles to contain the Welsh, was built to prompt such a humbling reaction with its fabulous wall circuit of over 3/4 mile long and guarded by no less than 22 towers.
It is renowned as one of the finest in the World. Conwy Castle is a gritty, dark-stoned fortress which has the rare ability to evoke an authentic medieval atmosphere. The first time that you catch sight of the castle you’ll know you are in the presence of an historic site which still casts a powerful spell.
BusyBus has become well known for it’s adventure through Snowdonia National Park (locally known as Eryri or “place of the Eagles” and you will see why on this tour. We’ll exploit the vehicle size by navigating some of the most scenic “Welsh” roads available, taking in as much of those glorious views on offer.
Some welcomed refreshments will be available in Betws-Y-Coed, North Wales’ most popular inland resort (locally known as the “capital of North Wales”) where the river Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno.
We’ll pass through Llangollen, the starting station for the famous and still fully-functional steam railway along with many other “claims to fame”.
You get a unique chance to experience the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, built by Sir Thomas Telford in 1797 for £47,000 and still taking canal barges across the valley high above the ground. This bridge where boats “fly across the sky” was made a World Heritage Site in 2005 on it’s bicentenary of opening in 1805.
Oh yes, you’ll certainly have a day out to remember with BusyBus on what we believe is the best value, most comprehensive and fun sightseeing tour to North Wales you’ll find. Don’t take our word for it though – we might be bias – please visit our own GUESTBOOK or have a look at our TRIPADVISOR feedback for more comments and testimonials that we’re very proud of. So, what are you waiting for?
