THE CHILDREN'S ADVENTURE FARM TRUST (CAFT)

Booth Bank Farm, Reddy Lane, Millington, Cheshire, England. WA14 3RE

TEL: +44 (0)1565 830053

We are very pleased and proud to be associated with our nominated charity, The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT). The excellent facilities along with the endlessly devoted and committed staff ensure that under-privileged children from all over the World can "escape" to safe, beautiful surroundings, if only for a few precious days in their lives.

BUSYBUS supports the endless needs for funds to keep this great place going in the form of tour donations, on-tour gift sale proceeds and various other initiatives in an attempt to "do our bit".

But it isn't about BUSYBUS, or even about CAFT. It's about children. Our children, your children and the Worlds children. At the end of the day, today's children are tomorrows yesterday as tomorrows yesterday is today! If you can work that out, you can assist CAFT by clicking on their link and donating something...anything...to this wonderful cause.

Childrens Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT)

The concept of The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) was conceived in 1985 by a small group of volunteers that included our Chairman, Tim Grundy.

Following 4 years of fundraising, Booth Bank Farm was purchased in 1989, and in 1992 CAFT opened, under the Presidency of the Duke of Westminster.

Based around a beautiful 17th century farmhouse, in the heart of Cheshire countryside, CAFT offers holidays and activities to terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the Northwest and beyond.

HERE TO HELP CHILDREN OF THE WORLD

  • CAFT offers the opportunity for children of all ages, who are terminally ill, chronically sick, disabled or disadvantaged, the chance to have the best time of their lives. Always with the children as our priority, we constantly strive to develop Booth Bank Farm so we can offer as many activities as possible.
  • Our accommodation is warm, welcoming and homely; it encircles a courtyard and the children stay in brightly decorated beamed rooms .
  • We can accommodate 16 children and their carers, each floor having it's own bathroom and showers.
  • We also have two self-contained apartments to accommodate a further 11 people.
  • Within the main building there is a large family dining room and a comfortable lounge and conservatory.
  • We have a fully equipped music room with both traditional and electronic instruments,
  • Arts and craft workshop,
  • Multi-sensory play suite specially designed for children of all abilities, which encourages plenty of interaction

We receive no statutory funding therefore all costs for respite breaks, Christmas parties, day trips and general running are met solely by fundraising.

We have a charity shop, at 4 Canute Place Knutsford (tel. 01565 652403), which generates income and also raises our profile in the local area. To make a donation of clothes, bric-a-brac etc. please call Sandra or Nahida on the above number.

Of course there are also all our volunteers without whom we would not be the organisation we are.
