Pleasant, compact and largely pedestrianised, the walled city offers easy access to shops, markets, libraries, museums, sporting facilities, coffee houses inns and teashops - in fact, everything you need within easy strolling distance.

The nightlife is excellent too, with an extensive range of pubs, clubs, bars, theatres, cinemas and restaurants. Whatever your tastes, Chester remains as memorable today as it was two thousand years ago!

One of the loveliest cities in England and on every tourist's itinerary, Chester ranks alongside London, York and Edinburgh. Experience the city's extraordinary atmosphere and wealth of history, architecture and culture, and you'll want to come back ... again and again.
