The Chester Street Envoys offices are located in the beautiful traditionally designed Chester Visitor Centre building and is wonderfully set on the famous Vicars Lane, only approximately 1/4 mile (1/2km) from the delightful City Centre of Chester and opposite the Roman Amphitheatre.

Chester is a centre for trade and commerce with some of the best shopping in North West England. Pleasant, compact and largely pedestrianised, the walled city offers easy access to shops, markets, libraries, museums, sporting facilities, coffee houses inns and teashops - in fact, everything you need within easy strolling distance.

The nightlife is excellent too, with an extensive range of pubs, clubs, bars, theatres, cinemas and restaurants. Whatever your tastes, Chester remains as memorable today as it was two thousand years ago!

Based within the Chester Visitors Centre you will find the ‘Chester Street Envoys.  This dedicated and professional team operate around the City offering assistance and guidance to both residents and visitors enjoying the experience of the historic City of Chester.

Highly visible in their smart blue uniforms they are always willing to assist should you have a problem, for example, looking for a particular restaurant, shop, place of interest, or maybe you need to know where the nearest bank is located?

In constant radio contact with a variety of agencies throughout the Chester City centre its quick and easy for even your most challenging questions to be answered.

If you are in Eastgate Street why not look out for the Tourist Information Kiosk, here you will find direct assistance from the Chester Street Envoys with your visit to the City? (Opening times of the Tourist Information kiosk varies throughout the year.)

The Chester Street Envoy service is run by Pentra Services in partnership with Chester City Centre Management and Chester City Council.

So come and visit the beautiful City of Chester and meet up with a Chester Street Envoy who will assist you in all sorts of valuable information. From attractions to accommodation, shops to public facilities, they'll be there to help you! Just keep your eyes peeled for them...they're the smart, brightly-coloured dressed people wandering around the City Centre. If in doubt, always ask for their identification.

DIRECTIONS TO CHESTER

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 20 to join the M56 motorway in direction: "Chester".

Leave the M56 motorway at Junction 15 to join the M53 motorway in direction: "North Wales".

Leave the M53 motorway at Junction 12 and take 3rd exit off the roundabout signposted: "Chester".

Follow the road directly into Chester.
