The North Wales Adventure will take you to places in Wales you thought didn't (or couldn't) exist and your driver & tour escort will keep you fully informed and advised as to points of interest and general knowledge regarding the ever-changing panoramic views.
This Wales sightseeing tour has been carefully routed and planned with your driver carefully tailoring the day to suit the weather, atmosphere and ambience of the general group on board. This makes every tour unique, special and memorable and allows you to partake in as much (or little) as you feel comfortable with. You will never be put under any commitment or pressure to do anything that you don't wish to.
Bus tours commence at 9:30am every Saturday and Sunday (other days subject to a minimum of 8 passengers) with further collection points from convenient locations, including Tourist Offices, Hotels, Caravan Parks, etc. arranged by request. You will, of course, be dropped off at the same point at around 5:45pm after your wonderful day!
After a short, narrated, drive through Chester, with areas of interest pointed out (like the City Walls, The Rows, The Eastgate Clock, The Amphitheatre and the infamous Horse Racing Course, we will commence our journey to North Wales.
Then comes that historic World famous spectacular drive along the coast road and up the Great Orme at Llandudno where we'll see the spectacular views and visit the 1,100 year old hidden chapel of St. Tudno. Llandudno is a famous Welsh holiday resort attracting many English and International visitors to its unique charm and charisma.
The town of Conwy was constructed by the English monarch, Edward I, between 1283 and 1289. It was one of the key fortresses in his 'iron ring' of castles to contain the Welsh. It has a fabulous walled circuit of over 3/4 mile long and guarded by no less than 22 towers and is one of the finest examples in the World.
Conwy Castle is a gritty, dark-stoned fortress which has the rare ability to evoke an authentic medieval atmosphere. The first time that you catch sight of the castle you'll know you are in the presence of a historic site which still casts a powerful spell.
You will see many of the glorious wonders that North Wales is proud to offer, including Eryri, or better known as the Snowdonia National Park, which is the second largest National park in England and Wales. The vehicle's size means that we can easily navigate some of the most scenic and 'Welsh' roads available, and along the way we will enjoy the glorious views whenever possible.
Explore Betws-Y-Coed, North Wales' most popular inland resort where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno.
We will pass through Llangollen, the starting station for the famous and still fully-functional steam railway along with many other "claim to fames".
You get a unique chance to experience the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct, built by Sir Thomas Telford in 1795 and still taking canal barges across the valley high above the ground.
Finally, don't forget all those other highlights you might see on route, including the Ugly House, Ffestiniog, Ruthin Gaol (jail), Valle Crucis Abbey, Rug Chapel, Llangar Church, Trefriw Woollen Mill, the Riverside Chocolate House ...to name oh but a few!
